Cru is a performance artist and writer from Lisbon and based in Berlin. He loves to research, read, write and translate that into embodied practices. His work deals mostly with ideas of illusion, lies and deception. Cru cultivates a love for beauty, which is an important factor in his life and a bridge to his interest in fashion and modelling. He's fascinated by how a body can be made into a sculpture, a canvas, or a work of art. Cru thinks about that a lot as a performance artist: How modelling is just another way of thinking about performance. Cru also loves modelling because he feels like bodies like his have been sidelined from this dialogue, from the conversation around the nature of beauty itself.
